Our Doctors

Dr. Brad Hwang has been practicing dentistry since 1986.  Dr Hwang was raised and received his dental education in Taiwan.  He came to the states in 1986.  He received his D.D.S. degree from Loma Linda University and his graduate Pediatric Dentistry training from Howard University.  Dr. Hwang is a Diplomat of The American Pediatric Dental Board as well as a Certified Member.  Dr. Hwang is also a Member of The American Dental Association, The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, The Washington State Dental Association, and The King County Dental Society.

Dr. Hwang was a Clinical Assistant Professor at Loma Linda University.  In addition to teaching dentistry, he assisted the student dentists clinically from 1990 to 1994.  During this time Dr. Hwang also practiced Pediatric Dentistry in a private office.  He relocated to Washington State in 1994.  He practiced dentistry part time at Rainier School, the state facility for mentally or physically challenged patients, for over a year.  He opened his own pediatric dental office in Kent in 1995.

Dr. Hwang is married and has three young daughters and a son.  He enjoys outdoor sports including tennis, hiking and fishing.

 

Dr. Kenny Ho grew up near Dallas, Texas.  He attended Austin College and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1995.  He completed his general dentistry training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2000, and had the opportunity during those years to participate in children’s behavior research at the University of Washington.  This experience allowed him to work closely with parents and fearful children, which eventually let to specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the Ohio State University and Columbus Children’s Hospital in 2000-2002. 

After completing his Master’s degree in the field of child behavior, he moved to Seattle in August of 2002 and realized his long-time goal of living in the beautiful Northwest.  He looks forward to working with the superb team at Children’s Dental Care, and helping to provide quality dental care for the children, adolescents, and teenagers in the South Sound area.

 

Dr. Kai-Hung Li received his dental degree and graduate training in Orthodontics from the University of Minnesota.

Prior to specializing in Orthodontics, Dr. Li worked as a general dentist for two years.  Following graduation from the Orthodontic program, Dr. Li has practiced orthodontics in Minnesota.  He moved to Washington State in the mid 1980’s and has been in private practice since then.  Dr. Li is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association and the Washington State Dental Association.  When he is not practicing orthodontics, Dr. Li enjoys music and photography.  He also enjoys cooking with his wife.

 

 

 

 

Dr. Simon Lin was born and raised in Taiwan. He earned his DDS from National Yang-Ming University in 1995. After working for four years in a private practice, he decided to be a pediatric dentist. In 2002, after three years post-doctoral training, he received his certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and a Master of Science of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston. He spent another year continuing molecular genetic research at Harvard Medical School in Boston. He joined the faculty of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Univeristy of Washington in 2005. Currently he is Assistant Professor and the Director of Pediatric Dentistry Pre-Doctoral Program.

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Simon Lin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, The American Dental Education Association, The Washington State Dental Association, and The King County Dental Society.

Dr. Lin has the exceptional ability to ensure that young children have positive dental experiences from early childhood and through life. His goal is to offer the best possible care for children and adolescents. He lives in Seattle with his wife and three young children.

 

Dr. Sue Jeong Choi grew up in Los Angeles, CA. She attended the University of California at Berkeley for her B.A. degree in Molecular and Cell Biology.

She attended the School of Dentistry, University of California at San Francisco (2002-2006) and obtained her DDS degree. During her dental school years she has focused on community service and coordinated a homeless clinic, and continues to serve underserved population. She has worked as a family dentist in San Francisco for a year and then decided to further pursue training in pediatric dentistry recidency at Oregon Health Science University. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, The Washington State Dental Association, and The King County Dental Society.

 

 

 

Our Staff

 

Our dental staff is specially trained in dealing with children’s dental needs. Our gentle, child-centered approach helps young patients understand and enjoy their dental experience. When necessary and appropriate, we can use behavior techniques (such as laughing gas) to help children receive proper dental care. Our goal is to help your child receive a positive and effective dental visit every time, and build trust and confidence over time. This has been proven to result in a lifetime of great dental experiences and dental health.

Our administrative staff has extensive knowledge in pediatric dentistry to assist in any questions you may have regarding procedures, insurance, and payments.
