Dr. Kirk Skidmore grew up right here in the Pacific Northwest in Bellevue, WA. He attended Brigham Young University where he received his bachelors degree in Neuroscience. He was thrilled to be able to then come back home and attend the University of Washington where he earned his dental degree. He then completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Utah Hospital where he recognized his strengths were in treating children with dental fears and special healthcare needs.

He completed his pediatric training through the Lutheran Medical Center in Honolulu, HI. This opportunity was special in that he was able to work in several clinics, on multiple islands, treating patients in underserved communities. He also served as the Chief Resident his final year. He has also provided dental care abroad to underserved children in Guatemala, Peru, Uganda, and the Galapagos Islands.

Dr. Kirk is board certified through the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and brings previous private practice experience to Children's Dental Care. When he's not seeing patients you can find him out for a run, on his bike, or catching a flight back to Hawaii to catch some waves!
